here's a desk set I made for a marketing device. It sits on the center's director's desk. No bites just yet. note the differences in the cocobolos.

Beautiful work, I have been watching your "tests"
For gosh sakes don't get upset if I suggest the next one not to drill as deep so you can show off more of the "set"
You put in so much effort and a lot is hidden.
Possibly a trough for the pen.
I realize the letter opener is tall which makes taking a picture of the set difficult.
Can you get a shot with the opener in the center and angle the camera to frame the opener from corner to corner diagonally, that would give a larger view of all the pieces.
I can see bu the holder the reflection of the set so I know it has a nice finish that anyone would be proud to display, I would like to see a closer look of the set.

Paul,
Eagle has given you some good advice. Another suggestion is to rotate the camera 90 degrees so you take this kind of picture as a "portrait", rather than in landscape. It makes it easier to fit long items in the frame.

Thank you guys very much.
I snuck into the "dragon lady's office and snapped a couple quick ones. next time I'll do better.

Atrough for the pen makes sense but I cut the base from a 6x6 bowl blank, I don't think it would be long enough

Thanks very much, you guys.

I ahve givenher a bowl, a pen, and the above desk set.

on night I left some sawdust and clutter in the shop. She went crazy.

I'd like to find some metal rings to put around the drilled holes.

preciate all the davice.

For the metal rings, there are inserts that PSI has I imagine other suppliers as well.
You drill the hole and insert the piece.
IIRC the bad thing about them is they require a 9/16ths bit.
Not something that most of us have in our shop.
