Need an acrylic blank larger than the store sells it

I sold a pen in the following strawberry mesh pen blank. Acrylic Acetate #37 - Strawberry Mesh - WoodTurningz

The customer recently heard I started making finger rings with metal cores and they now want a ring out of this strawberry mesh. I need more like a 1 inch diameter of something like this bright and beautiful strawberry mesh that just shines so well. My own carry slimline pen is in this mesh. After 2 years it still almost glows.


Who can make me a blank line this?

Why don't you call WoodTurningz and order a bottle stopper blank in that color?

Hi Ethan! Sorry, I have not seen the woodturningz blank in person, so I could be off here. But these blanks at least look pretty close - according to the photos...Might be worth a try?

You MIGHT be able to use the ordinary size blank to get the material for that ring ....


What you will need to do is take a section about an inch and a quarter and cut 2 opposing corners off to give you your flats ... a diagonal section of the original square blank.


Take that section and sand the flats to give you a good surface for glue-up, and stick it to your faceplate (glue block) and turn it round ... once it's round you can work it from there.
