I posted some pictures in another thread on a different topic and was asked by Wullie Shields about my tool rack in the background. Rather than hijack a thread, I started a new one.

I had some narrow strips of slat wall board left over from my wife's shop that had been sitting around for a while. My brother-in-law helped me build this using some scrap 2x4s and the slat wall. It's sitting on a low rise tool stand that came from somewhere. We have tons of the store fixture hooks for the wall, so it was just a matter of sticking them in and laying the tools up there. I wasn't sure how well it would work, but just having a place to put the tool really seems to help. Now if I could just get the rest of the shop organized the least bit.

I that were mine my tools would still be tucked and stacked all around the lathe. Nice set up and I hope it works for you. Me, not so organized.
Do a good turn daily!
