Thanks Maxman400 for the idea.......you have done me good.

I have tried it with a green closed and a couple of smaller dried open ones and one that's been sitting on my dashboard for about a year (bottom right). if they are open, then I can only get one good slice. I have not found any small green ones yet. The wind dropped a few larger ones, but I think they are a bit big. I also need better beads.

At the right time of the year I can get good closed ones that would make wall hangings. they are huge. I do prefer the closed cone look better.
