My Woodtek lathe has arrived and is set up which only took a few minutes. Considering no one seems to have heard of it I was a bit apprehensive about the purchase. But reviews about other Woodtek tools were very good so I assumed that the lathe was good also. It is a mini (8") rather than a midi but it has all the features of all other non VS lathes. The colors match my John Deer hat so that is a plus. My other lathe had a M1 spindle and tailstock, this has a M2. The runout at the spindle is less than five tenths and the runout at the end of the mandrel is about .002". The headstock and tailstock centers match dead on so I am well pleased with the specs. Started making chips on it this evening and it's a breeze.

Les; Could be a paper weight for all we know. Until we see some chips and dust, it's just Art-Deco. Have some fun with it and send us photos of some finished work. Jim S

It's a beautiful lathe. I hope you will do well with it. I have the Excelsior mini lathe and I just love it. My only draw back on mine is the belt that is hard to change the speed of it and it has 2 doors to get to the bet and the back one is hard to get into because my lathe is so heavy I can't move it. So I just leave the speed thing alone. Let us see some sawdust and wood chips fly! Take care Fay
