A couple of months ago Charles (Glass Scratcher) gave a demo at our woodturning club on pouring PR. I assisted him with the real technical stuff like stirring :) He very kindly gave me a blank from that pour.

A bit of a learning curve on turning and sanding PR but I was happy with how it turned out. Thanks Charles!

Comments and critiques are welcome. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

Hi Keith
Great blank for your first casting , love the two color swirl .
Great fit and finish . Overall a beautiful pen .:highfive:

Butch, I could dream about casting a blank like this. I simply turned it, it was cast by Glass Scratcher.

Hi Keith;
looks GREAT. When you buying all the casting stuff???
keep turnin'

LOL. Mark, I have all the casting stuff. It did not take me long to realize that I'm good at making primary color blanks and thats about it :biggrin: I did make a nice looking jet black blank once :) I mainly use my casting set up to assist me in the preparation of some of my segmented blanks. I'll leave the fancy pours to others more talented.

Hi Keith, good looking pen, I like the blank, the fit looks great and the finish is very nice, the hard part turning PR is those strings go everywhere,
