My First Pen

Well here it is! My first pen. The wood is Padauk and I used a Titanium Nitride kit. The finish is Deft Lacquer. 3 coats, then sanded to 2400 I think and then 3 more coats. This was fun!! It may be too soon to say this but I think I'm hooked! On to turn #2!

Thanks All for the kind words! When I put it all together and looked at it, well I think it was like a high! Or maybe it was the lacquer!! SO much fun. I started another slimline with a kind of bulge in the middle of each blank. I think it might look good.

Gary, I gave my first pen to my wife. Several reasons, one because she allowed me to spend the money we don't have, so I could get started. Two, because she said she would love to show it off at work. Three, so I can get approval for more supplies sooner rather than later!! She is the Greatest!!
