My first buckeye burl

I haven't posted in a while so here is my latest. Its a Statesman rollerball in buckeye burl filled with lots of CA and then a WOP finish.

The pen was originally meant to be a fountain pen but whilst turning it was purchased and changed to a roller ball. The pen is for A CEO of a hospitality consulting from in Sydney.

This won't be my last BEB it is great stuff to turn and the finished product has that wow! about it IMHO.

Nice work! Buckeye is my favorite material. It takes some extra work, but usually worth it. Your customer should love it.

Real nice pen Sam have turned a few pens in buck-eye myself and I must say this is my favorite wood to turn, I have even turned some commissioned pens in buck-eye and the clients where very happy with the outcome of the pens. But what you have turned there is of quality and a nice show piece.
