Lets see if I can get this correct this time.


I made this Vortex for my daily use pen to leave on my desk. Learned two things:
1.) Why the acrylic got such extreme run out
The friction from the drill bit caused the material to soften just kept spraying it with water and no run out!

2.) Paint the tube

Oh well

I like it too. Even though you didn't paint the tube you can only see brass showing in a couple little areas, and for this blank I don't think it looks bad. Good job on your first acrylic blank too. I think the pen looks pretty good.

I have been told by more than 1 person on Acrylic and Poly Resin it is a good idea to always paint the tub/back paint (I think thats what it's called). So I have decided that anytime I make one I will be doing that.

I think it is a very good kit for that Acrylic.
