It's great being in the wood business. Once in a great while, I actually find the time to use the wood I sell.
I've never made a pen before so I gave it a try. From the bottom up.
My very first pen, highly figured Maple with a poor wax finish.
Unknown wood, 1/3 heart wood 2/3 spalted sap, my first attempt at CA.
Another different unknown, super beautiful spalted wood, CA finish.
1/2" sap 1/2' heartwood quilted Redwood, CA finish.
Also a simple question. How to you keep the CA from sticking to the bushings? I almost glued the spalted slimline to the bushings for good.
