Got absolutely nothing accomplished tonight. First off, I was trying to fine tune a Cigar antler pen I had turned Sunday, the barrels were just a hair over size. Got them sized and as I started to put it together, I noticed white splotchy areas on both barrels. 
OK. I put this aside for the time being and decide to work on two corn cob pens. Blew out the first one. This was the first time I tried using epoxy to glue the tubes in. Looked like it didn’t get an even coat over the entire tube. There was no glue where it blew. Started the second one. Everything went well till I removed the lower barrel from the bushings. The end chipped out as I removed it.
Went back to the antler pen. Resanded and reapplied 3 coats of CA. Took it off the lathe for a closer look and can see swirls in the CA.
Gave up for the night. [xx(] Came in and took a shower. I’ll try again tomorrow, maybe Mr. Murphy will have moved on by then
