My wife's family is gathering for a mini-reunion at my house tomorrow so she asked me to make some pens to give away. First time she and her sibling have all been together at the same time for over 20 years. She requested some label casted pens that feature an old photo of my late father in law, West Point class of 1946. He was quite a guy, severely wounded in Korea, 3 tours in Vietnam Nam, paratrooper, etc. It did not feel right calling a guy like that by his first name and I was not comfortable calling him Dad, he was called PIB at West Point (his initials) so I called him Mr. PIB.

Guys like that deserve all the respect we can give them.

I have several friends I will never be able to call them by their first names.
It is either "MR.....Captain......Chief......SIR". They have earned my respect till the day I die.
