I've been playing around with combining turning with jewelry recently and made this batch of rings in various sizes from 5 to 14. Made from a variety of woods, Maple, Bloodwood, Walnut, Yellowheart, Cocobolo and Bocote. Mostly finished with Lacquer

I made three types of work holding devices out of wood. One is an expanding mandrel that works on the same principle as the closed end pen mandrel only sized for rings. One is wooden jaws for my scroll chuck designed for holding rings without denting the wood. One is a taper mandrel that is a jamb chuck for the final turning operation and sanding.

Eric, I know a fellow that sells rings like those for 40 to 60 dollars each, at art and craft shows, as well as on Etsy. Yours are very nicely done, you do make some very interesting items.

I've almost never sold anything. I mostly make stuff for fun and give it to friends and family as gifts or donate to charity auctions. I might try selling some rings on etsy.
