These closed end Barons have a little rhinestone button embellishment glued into a 7mm wide and 1/8" deep counterbore. The rhinestone button thingies were found at one of my favorite online stores, http://www.firemountaingems.com, and come with both black and silver encasements.

ED, those look great! I really like the shape of the first pen when it's uncapped! The rhinestones are a nice touch!

I really like the "thingie" with the black pen. But for me, I think the bottoms of both of the pens are a little too thick- makes them look much more weighty than the tops and sort of out of proportion. What kind of wood are they?

Ed, the work and craftsmanship is impeccable (but that's not new from you). It's just a personal preference thing, but I don't think the cap shape compliments the shape of the barrel. But there are many others that will disagree, so that just shows what I know.[^]
