modified zebras

a little project I worked on. since military guys like the zebra pens and have a hard time parting with 'old faithful', I decided to see what I could to do spruce them up.

the left shows a stock pen, one with an olivewood grip section with the clip, then a clipless one with acrylic.

I actually made these before that thread was started, but it spurred me to post these

They look fantastic and have me thinking. What size drill bit did you use?

I used a letter R bit. Made a mandrel to fit the ID of the hole

That is a realy cool idea. I had a friend of mine that love's the way the zebra pens write, but wanted something a bit nicer, so I modified a virage kit from berea to take one of the zebdra refills. It worked very well.
