Finished this yesterday. I rough turned it six months ago & just got back to it. No doubt this tree had/did a bit of living in its time. Mission Oak with an oil finish. 9 5/8 diameter by 3 1/2 tall outside. Few things beats the beauty of wood!

Never mind the spelling mistake (The man that's never made a mistake never made anything.) That bowl is stunning. Artwork of the highest degree.

How cares about the damn spelling, don't we all have "glass ceilings"...???

As for the Olive piece of wood you worked with, that is just something else, not only show age (only very old Olive trees are capable top produce such wood) but lots of character, not mentioning the absolute stunning grains and colours.

I can see that, you had a difficult piece to work with due to its natural flaws but, the results are well worth it, congrats...!
