Metal lathe not included

I figured I would jump on the band wagon and do an alum. pen. I got a piece of 5/8" round bar from work and just couldn't resist. I was surprised at how easy it turned on my JET mini. I use big metal lathes at work and didn't think this lil sucker could handle it. Was I surprised. I think I am going to try something a little bit harder next time. Although I think it is going to be a matter of the tools not the lathe. I guess I am going to have to borrow some carbide cutters from work. So any way here it is. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking. Sorry for the bad pic but a mirror is hard to get a pic of.

Very nice....question....is the diameter of the hole in the rod 7mm? Is that a slimline kit?

Nice pen. Did you apply any finish or just polished to a high luster?

I just polished and a coat of wax.
