I was given a charcoal foundry today, along with a steel crucible and a pair of tongs. Does anyone know of some good metal casting forums? And I'm talking backyard foundry, not jewelry/lost wax type of thing. Also, if anyone in the D.C. area has any additional tools or green sand, let me know. I'll be building some flasks soon, but don't have any green sand yet... Also, any tips/advice would be appreciated. I've got a few of Gingery's books and have done a good bit of reseacrh online, but this will be the first time I've actually gotten any hands on experience. I'm pretty excited as I looked into casting a few years ago, but decided that I really didn't have the space for it.
