Hi there,
Just finished a set of urushi pens with "Namban-Kawari-Nuri". Namban refers to the term used for Japanese things influenced by "Southern barbarians", meaning the Portugueese reaching Japan in the 15th century, coming from the South. It is a lacquer I developed myself a few years ago. The design bases on many circles sprinkled with metal powders such as Platinum, Gold, Silver, Tin, Bronze, Brass, Titanium, Tungsteen and abalone
Best regards,
Martin
