My next door neighbor works in a kitchen remodeling company. I was asking him about corian cut-offs and he said that because of the price difference being so small, they sel very little corian anymore. Now most people opt for manmade stone.

I'm thinking that it's similar to true-stone as it's formed from powdered stone and an adhesive. I've asked if he can bring me some cut-off when he has a job.

Has anyone tried to turn manmade stone countertops?

They are a hard as granite. You wood working tools will not work. They use diamond cuts just like granite. I gave a piece a try and damaged one of my drill bits. Now that was 4 years ago.
