Making your own Friction finish

I just thought i would pass along the friction finish formula I use found it about 8 yrs. ago and have had Great success with it. it's 1/3 denatured alcohol, 1/3 boiled lienseed oil, and 1/3 shellac (liquid). Hope this helps save you some Dollars!!!

I use the same formula. I used it on the pen I carry in my pocket and the finish holds up very well.

I just happen to have these items.:biggrin: So, how many coats. Plenty of heat? Apply with paper towel?

Chuck I use paper towels and a few coats and heat let me know if you like it.its a good money saver.
