Majestic FP with colorful feathers

After a dry October, I thought I'd share what I created in the shop today.

Majestic Fountain Pen with dyed Feathers body by Marla's Magic trimmed in Rhodium and Black Titanium Nitride.

Barry, yes I thought the Black TN would complement the feathers better than the gold would.
Ron, yes, I posted another note/pic in our Indianapolis chapter area because I did get it at the meeting.

Mike, yes - three out of four divisions lined up perfectly, so I consider this excellent since she's working with natural materials in making the blanks.

I'll probably upgrade the nib before it's over with as well, but I went ahead and grabbed some photos as it was today when I completed it.

Just for the record this one took some time to finish. I kept noticing radial scratches as I started polishing it up with MM. It took going back to the coarsest MM three times, and working up the set (with only sanding vertically) before I got rid of the radial scratches. I'm pretty happy with the end result.
