Took a break from Knife making and messing around with real stone (Picasso stone, Verdite ans Malachite pens in the pipeline). I am a but of a scroodge and would never buy a kit like this for myself, but a friend needed one turned, and did not have time to do it himself. Dropped the kit and a selection of 10 blanks, of which 7 would not have worked at all, 2 might have, and the Buckeye being the only one really suited. Would not have been my first choice, but it came out very nice. Although it is a big pen with the cap on, I find it a decent writing instrument, but then I have a set of decent paws.
