Magicbob and I had 2 great days at Hartville Hardware ("The Largest Hardware Store in the World..."). Hartville, Ohio; Nov 18 & 19.
Many, many vendor demos, and Magicbob was able to showcase his "Magic Skew" and other tools. I was the "crash test dummy" who punched holes into previously nice corian and wood blanks while Bob gave his sales pitch!
Bob and I also passed out lots of cards with the IAP web address for new members, as well as invitations to partake in the Ohio Chapter activities.
During the 2 days, Bob and I turned "a few" slimlines for "Pens for Service Members" as well as rounding out some segmented blanks for next year's MPG.
We discovered (not surprisingly), my success rate with the segmented blanks being accurate is still abysmal, and Magicbob can turn 5 pens in the time I turn one .... well, maybe 1/2... But I charge by the hour as opposed to the "piece." :bananen_smilies047:
A lot of fun, and I suspect IAP will gain a few members, as well as the Ohio Chapter.
