I thought my first one was pretty good. (Y'all were very nice about it--thanks!)

*This* one, my seventh, is even nicer. A mechanical pencil, CSUSA 24K kit, mesquite, Mylands friction polish.

As I've turned these, I'm figuring out how to make them even smoother and the curves cleaner. As I'm totally self-taught--other than what I glean from the forums here--I'm having to learn this the hard way--by making some ugly pens. But this one, IMO, is pretty dang nice.

Now if I could get my photography working better....

From what I can see it looks like a well constructed pen. As for the picture well I'v had the same problems. You might try changing the background and use a tripod for your camera.(also use the timer). Then try taking the picture with and without the flash. Keep up the good work.
