I would like to stabilize this piece of cherry I found. I found this last week in the sawmill I work in. This is what we would always call cluster knots in cherry. Before I got into turning wood, I saw a 8 foot piece with these that was total covered...every inch. I always wish I would have saved it...

Anyway this has some small checks that need to be filled in. I have no idea of what this will look like turned...I am just curious too see what this will look like turned, but I need to have to filled first.

How do you go about doing this? do you think it would work if I were to just soak this in ca glue?

do you think it would look better if someone were to do a worthless wood casting? What would one charge me to do this?

Thanks

We can chat about it Mark! PM me with dimentions and so on. From the looks of some of those fissures, WW casting may be the answer!
