I have a good friend who is a huge NY fan, wants a pen
in those colors; mainly blue with a bit of white.
I think someone here did a pinstripe blank maybe in NY inspired colors.
I can't find it.
I did find a theme I would like..

I don't have tools set up to make this style blank.
Anyone interested in crafting one for me in mainly dark blue with white pinstripes? the pen will be a gift, so I can't afford to pay a lot, but would
be willing to pay a fair price. This may be out of my budget, but who knows?PM me if you wish!
I could also get into a solid dark blue with white end caps maybe?
anyone interested in crafting that? or point me onto the blank colors?
I might be able to make this type, as it's basically oops bands on the ends.
If you are interested in making me a blank, I will be fussy about the craftsmanship..glue lines, quality of glue joints, etc.

I'm also open to suggestions on existing color schemes available off the shelf.
I want to stick as close as possible to the correct colors, so please no
links to aqua or denim or other off colors.

Thanks in advance!

John

I beleive that CreativeWriting did a Yankees pen out of the polymer clay. That would probably be the easiest way to go about it. Not sure if he has anything like that in stock or not.

Other than that, Hank's tutorial that you posted is probably about the easiest way to go about it.

Thanks Jerry, I'll check into that with Maxman!
Roy, that's cool, Thanks for the help!
Justin, there's an idea, the baseball blank, and maybe a blue upper. Thanks!

BTW, this is going to be a Cigar, the guy has huge hands so slimlines are out!

That was the second "stripes" blank that I attempted and it turned out well. My 3rd - 6th attempt all had slight defects, so I gave up. I still plan on doing more but it will be after retirement when I can spend time on a precision mini-table saw jig.

Someone posted a striped pen a couple of weeks ago that looked great.

Found it:

Thanks Hank, I really liked yours and Max did a great job, too.
His was the one in the post you link to that I really remembered,
(short memory, huh?) THANKS!

I have pm'd Max, maybe he will take pity on me and let me pay him to craft one basically in the reverse of his colors.
