Since a lot of us are getting into trying the kitless pens, what is a good source or sources for nice looking clips? Some use bent SS which I will try but it would be nice to get classy looking clips in bulk also.
There are no sources , good or otherwise . You can buy kit clips from a number of sources or make your own . Check ebay for vintage and repro clips , Mike (MRedburn) sells some sterling clips he makes , send him a PM , I think his website is silverpenparts.com .
Depending on your definition of "kitless" some options are the cigar clips that you can buy separately (no baggies opened/harmed) another that I found that is a nice clip are from the golden nib: http://www.thegoldennib.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=22_55 nice plating options too.
I plan on tackling this issue being of business mind and seeing opportunity. I purchased the equipment but could be two months to get here and then I have to learn to use it and make fixtures to cut and bend so I'm likely a good year away from success
Also if you get an opportunity to go to one of the fountain pen shows there are usually some vintage clips in bins you can pick up. Solution for me was to take a class in jewelry and make my own.
