I have seen these before but cant find one on the internet. It is a device that supports the long drill bit as you start drilling into a "Bic" stick pen blank. There is a book also that has one in it but does not explain how to make one, the book is called Small & Exciting Woodturning Projects by James A. Jacobson (1983) and has a chapter on making Bic stick pens. Anyone have a device similar to what I am talking about?

Haven't seen anything like that. I usually start with a drill bit that is short enough there is no wobble and then switch to the longer one.

I use a 1/8 bit in a jacobs chuck.
