For Christmas I made my nephew a little car. The wood(white oak) came from my father's farm that we had cut about 15 years ago. The varnish was used by my grandfather in the early 60's when he finished gym floors (we have about 8 gallons left :) ). Lots of history in this little car that I hope he's able to enjoy and play with for many years.
Here are a few pics...seeing that smile made it all worth it.

I love it. I made a rocking horse for my grandkids and they still sit on it. He will have a lot of fun with it. The finish and the grain look great. I only have one question, are the balls in the wheels silent? HE HE Just a question. Thanks for showing Richb

Rich, lol...Heck no they arent silent :D a little revenge on my younger brother, I really thought he needed the extra noise.
