Here's my first attempt at a lidded bowl. I got the idea from a woodturners forum post I saw last week and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately I can't remember where I found the post otherwise I'd provide a link.
The lid is Pauduk and the bowl is Maple. Both are from 3/4" boards. The bottom is two peices glued together. It's 4.5" wide and about 2" tall.
It's sanded but I've not yet applied the finish (with will most likely be WOP):
