This is my Independence Day pen. It's a Liberty Bell from Woodcraft, and the finish is gunmetal. Love the details, especially the soldier saluting. I was going to use an American wood like oak or walnut. But I chose lignum vitae for a couple of reasons. 1) I like lignum vitae a lot. 2) The US Navy used it for submarine prop shaft bushings in WW2. I'm really happy with it.
