MSW - Metal, Stone and Wood. Was given a cracked Verdite core by a knife maker. Thought I might have a chance of getting a decent piece of the stone to work with, but it shattered into a million oieces. All I could salvage was a 5mm sliver. Sandwiched between .75mm brass shims and capped the blank with 2 pieces of White Oak Burl that I cut off a very old stump. The plan was to dye the burl a light green, but somehow forgot that step. Filled the little holes in the wood with some brass powder.
