Le Roi Elegant Tubes!

Just a note to those that bought the Le Roi Elegant. I noticed that the tubes are a bit shorter than the standard Le Roi and the Sierra. I have been interchanging Sierra and Le Roi's but when I did it with the Le Roi Elegant, the refill wouldn't come out all the way. I then compared the tubes and found the Elegant a tad shorter. Not really an issue, but I thought I would let everyone know. I still really like the hardware, I just can't use my pre-painted Sierra tubes.

Why not just sand down the pre-painted tubes a little bit? A few seconds on the disk sander should cure the difference.

No, but it will make them shorter so they will work in the Le Roi Elegant

Not a bad idea. But then you end up with a bunch of short tubes that won't fit anything else. I a firm believer not to waste pen hardware. It's just as easy to just paint the Le Roi tubes. Thanks All.

I noticed this also. I had some Franklin blanks for the G series I put on a couple of these. I was able to sand them down just a bit on both ends to get the desired length though. But of course now I have extra tubes that are two small for other G series pens.
