This is the first time I've posted pictures of my work. I received a large order and thought I'd post a few pictures. Comments and criticizms welcomed. Still working on getting better with the camera.
You have got some great looking Pens.
With your photo's I would suggest not using background items that are close to the same color of your pens. It tends to hide the detail of your pens (box and candle).
Max, thanks for your suggestion. I agree. Upon review, I also think the multi-colored background detracts from the overall quality. I don't have one of the newer high resolution cameras so I'm already at a bit of a disadvantage in trying to capture more detail. All things in due time.
FWIW, you don't need one of the 'newer high resolution cameras' for web work.
Monitors are notoriously low resolution anyway, and even cameras made 10 years
ago will give you more resolution than you need for a monitor.
Olive and more olive, yes sir...! great group of pens you have there!
I actually don't think that I ever seen so many olive wood made pens posted in one go...!:biggrin:
What is the origin..., sorry I re-phrase, from were have you been told that olive wood comes from? please!
Out of all of your photos, set up wise I like the first one the best. Even though it is a little out of focus it has every thing I look for in a photo, background contrast, grain in the wood and all of the parts of the pen can be seen. When I take photos I go through all of the light settings (+1.5, to -1.5) Find the one that looks the best then run it through the photo editor.
