Large Blank drilling chuck PSI

I have used and really like the pen-blank drilling chuck from PSI (1" capacity). I'm ready for a new one. As I make a fair number of deer grunts and duck calls, I think the Large (2 1/2") would serve me better.
If you have tried both, does the larger one work just as well as the smaller on pen-blanks (the majority of what I turn) and also do as well in drilling larger 1 1/2" up to 2" blanks ?

I've been doing the larger on a drill press (that isn't mine).

Thanks for any advice advice before I spend the extra $20.

Sorry I can't help. I only have the smaller one. I use it all the time.

I'd recommend getting a 4-jaw chuck. I have a Barracuda2. Sure, they're more expensive but they're far more useful. PSI even makes drilling jaws for them.
