This is the second knife I have made. It is from a cheap $7 woodcraft blade. Dressed it up with one of my Pinecone knife scales. No finish, just sanded through the MM and buffed.

I do not like the shape by the ridge but hey it's a learning thing.

C&C appreciated.

Thanks everyone. It was a definite learning experience. The scales slipped because I did not use pins so it is off by the blade but other than that and the odd shape around the ridge I am happy with it.

Will I think it is a a shame you wasted those beautiful scales on a cheap blade! Love the scales. Very unique and beautiful.

Well it is not really a cheap blade, more inexpensive. I picked them up on clearance at WC.

Thanks for the compliment on the scales. these were messed up so I decided to try my hand at working w/ them since I make them. I have 2 more blades that I picked up on the Clearance table. I may try my hand at a sweetgum ball scale next.
