The blank came from Karl Kuehn. I recieved some blanks from Karl and they are AMAZING! He really does a bang up job with his blanks and will be ordering more in the future, truly an artist with making pen blanks. Ok, on to the pen, it is a Black chrome cigar. Yes but like most artists Karl is a whack job, the way he gets those beautiful blanks is to smell each color, then mix the ones that smell the best together,(don't tell him, but they all smell the same) after enough PR fumes, I guess you can imagine all sorts of things
That really is a very fine looking pen, and the plating with that blank is a great choice.
