JS Norway Maple Bowl

Norway Maple bowl with black lacquer and Jo Sonja iridescent paints. Just starting to explore what I can do with these kind of paints. Interior left natural look with polyurethane finish, external is waterborne lacquer to retain the colors. Around 8" (20 cm) across.

Wow, that looks amazing. It almost looks like the bowl is glowing.

I REALLY like that bowl! What are you using as a final finish? Spray lacquer or wipe on poly maybe???

The finish on the outside is Target Coatings EM6000 Waterborne lacquer. It is absolutely water clear when cured and will re-burn like nitrocellulose lacquer if a repair is ever needed.

NICE!!! At first I was wondering why anyone would paint Maple (I like wood), but it worked out quite nice.
