This is a pen chest that in it's former 'life' was a jewelry case. It used to be real beat up (scratched, poor finish, nicked, dented, missing components, ripped liner, etc.). Anyhoot, rather than tossing it out I decided to 'save' it from the curbside, after all it is a nice mahogany. Long story short, with a little TLC, some elbow grease, plenty of sanding,filling and the addition of some CNC solid maple trays it lives to now serve as a showcase for pens. Let me know if I did OK in saving this little puppy from the dumpster.
