Jewelry Holder with Ring Post

My wife asked me yesterday to make her something to put her jewelry in with a post on it to put her rings on. So I went to the shop today and this is what I came up with. The bottom is made out of a laminated piece of mahogany and the post is black walnut. It turned out nice, but my pic dont do it justice.

You are in for it now. Next time she asks you to make her something be smart and tell her you need a new tool to get the job done. You'll get a new something for turning and she will get what she wants. :biggrin:
