I needed a "show & tell" example for our turning club that meets this Wednesday, so I turned this neat little whistle from a book by Bonnie Klein!:clown: One is blurry but still made for a neat picture....one of these days I am going to afford a tripod!

Until a tripod comes your way, rest the camera on a stable object near the edge nearest the subject. If that is not possible or is inconvenient, stand solidly with the arm holding the camera, elbow firmly against the side, other arm as close to the body as possible, take a deep breath and let it out then take another good breath. While slowly letting the breath escape gently press the shutter release. I have been known to get good sharp exposures using this technique with shutter times of over one second. It does not always work so take more than one shot if possible. This is an old, stress 'old', photographer's trick when not enough light available.
