Howdy from Texas!

I just joined today, right after I found this site! I'm brand new to this. Buying books, watching videos and about to buy a lathe. I'm in Plano, TX, about 20 miles north of downtown Dallas.
I do a bit of general woodworking and I have a guitar repair shop, so the woodworking / finishing part should come naturally. I've never done any turning, so that'll be the major learning hurdle.
