I was at a craft store and ran across earring making supplies. I bought a $2 pack with the fish-hook shaped section and some connector loops. I put a discarded chunk of multicolor acrylic in the 4-jaw chuck and rounded it off. I used my dremel with a small drill bit and drilled about 3/8" into the blank near one edge. Then I flattened the face. Sanded to MM12000 and then parted off a section about 1/8" thick. It was a little rough but with hand sanding the back cleaned up nicely. I repeated it and mounted them on the cheap earing hooks. Instant birthday present!! I'll try to post photos soon.
