Here are the three pens I finished today. They are all Tru Stone except for the bottom. I was finishing the sizing. I removed my tool from the blank to let it cool so it would not get too warm. Then, as I was gently edging the tool in to trim just a bit more. My tool caught just a bit. I pulled back and eased it back in WHAMO! The end of my blank flew at me.
I have hundreds of wood blanks and varies acrylics, but nothing seemed to go with the color of the Tru Stone until I looked at the White Pearl acrylic. I didn't want to throw the top half I had already completed away, so I used the pearl acrylic for the bottom.
How would you rate this recovery? Comments and criticism appreciated.
