I was asked if I could show the Centre steady that I made, but couldn't find the photos while I was away for a couple of days. So I took some new ones this afternoon.:)

The tool is made from 3/4 plywood and is limited in size only by the swing of your lathe.

Obviously it is braced at the bottom, and I originally made this for my 12inch swing machine, but since I busted that and now have a 14inch lathe I had to alter the centre height.

The wheels are from a Skateboard, but these could be bearings which would give a greater support capacity.

I saw this posted on a Forum somewhere, liked the principle and just made my own. no plans involved.

Should this have come from an IAP Member, then I apologise that I cannot find the post, but thank you just the same. It works really well.
Thanks for looking and I hope that it helps some of you as it has helped me.

Bob.:)
