I quite like that Jim.
Sorry you didn't win, I didn't either but then I didn't enter.
Is the hexagon a popular shape?????
Thanks for showing.
Bob.
Thanks Bob; I think the hexagon is something that has not been seen much because most people don't know the way to go about doing it, and those that do may not have the equipment to do it the old way. The PSI Vertex series kits as well as those made by others have hexagon fittings. And if you round over the edges to meet other fittings, you could use almost any kit as I did with the Cigar, or go kitless. Making the hexagon out of Polymar Clay is not that difficult for anyone that works with this material already, and does nor require a lathe. If you are working in wood, clay, or PR, you can not turn a polygon on a lathe without some very expensive add ons such as a carrage mounted trim router, inclined jigs to do tapers, indexing system, or on a CNC machine. The hexagon shape is very easy in your hand as two fingers and your thumb rest on the flats giving you a feeling of complete controll. How's the pond problem working out ?? Jim S
