Help w/ American Patriot

Has anyone had a problem with getting the refill to retract . working on one last night and can not get it to work ......it may have just been to late needed to go to bed :hypnotized: or ??? Thanks for the help

Check where the cartridge comes out the nib to see if it catches there. I had that trouble with a celtic pen and just needed to ream out the nib.

If it's not the nib......Sometimes the black plastic end is tight. I had to reduce the diameter slightly. Hand check with and without spring.

Also check the spring. It only goes in one way.

i put the spring in both ways and also put in a spring from 2 other kits not American Patriot kits

I had the same experience. I stretched the spring and that helped. Another I tried the spring from a PSI bolt action which is the same cartridge but different heavier spring. It worked without issue which is why I stretched the spring to increase the compression tension.
