Had extra time while Shea was out giving riding lessons so I turned a few pens. This is one I pulled out of a box of cutoffs I purchased from Nolan. I have no idea what kind of wood this is so any help would be greatly appreciated! It turned easily, alot like amboyna burl. I really like that the sapwood didn't get all turned off. The kit is a Classic American with gun metal plating. To finish I did a CA fill for some small voids, sanded to 600, applied sanding sealer, then 10 coats thin CA, MM to 12000, Buffed with Tripoli and White Diamond, and polished with PlastX. I've been very pleased with how my CA finishes have been coming out. As always any comments appreciated!
