I am a retired Coast Guard Officer living in the Panama City Florida area. I started pen-turning about six months ago, along with my adult son Daniel. Thus far, we have worked mostly on a mini-lathe, but do have a Shopsmith for larger turnings and for future experiments. We are working mostly acrylic creations, but have created some good looking wood pens as well. Now if I could only fine out how to produce those blanks with the thin lines in them!
